sorta makes you wonder what he meant by that.
i just think he was being honest. a lot of people think he IS Jesus.
wouldnt it be good if everyone were so up-front?
"we want to be (loved, adored, admired, good and right) like Jesus."
Jesus makes us feel good, we want to emulate Him and make others better by just being in our presence... not for our own glory (ahem, of course, ahem) but for the sake of God... to bring people to God... to glorify God... and all that 'good and right' stuff.
This is why none of us will ever be like Jesus, but boy will we give it our best self humbling, selfish filthy shot... either overtly or covertly.
Jesus was born an arrow pointing to God. Then God took this arrow, His Son, and buried Him into His heart... for our sake, taking our debt upon Himself and paying it in full. By His stripes we were healed.
This is the Jesus people like us can never hope to be.
