Monte Montgomery: Little Wing acoustic instrumental

Marko posted a guitar player today. So I thought I'd show him what a real guitar player looks like. First. Acoustic is the only way to go. And while I'm actually not a big Monte montgomery fan... this version of Little wing is scary.
At 4 minutes 40 seconds he steps it up. and then at 6:00 it goes up.

well worth 10 minutes of your day to bask in brilliance.

yeah but this 'acoustic' has a big'ol electric p/u right in the sound hole! and it would be nice if he actually used his pick once in a while :-)

That's a feedback reducer in the sound hole -- Monte's pickups are actually piezos. And contrary to what's perceived, Monte uses his pick plenty of times through his "hybrid" picking style. Great vid -- although there are plenty of "scarier" recordings of Monte playing Little Wing out there -- the older you go, the better they are...
