I feel obligated to say something about the "hair cut that was too short". I certainly hope there is more to the story than what was represented in the article. It sounds like this young man had a few previous run-ins with authority. But at face value, what happened is a travesty. Personally, I am a "short hair cut" kind of guy, but I would feel just as outraged if they suspended the young man for having too long of hair. Isn't this America? Just last week I was telling my 7 year old and 9 year old about how in Iran, they are cracking down on the barber shops and making sure they do not give "western style" (this probably translates to anything other than a crew cut) haircuts. I was trying to illustrate to them just how good we have it here in the good ol' U.S. of A. In America, nobody can tell you how to where your hair, right? Well, I guess I was wrong.
