Parents don;t take your teens to Nebraska

This is really happening. It's unbelievable and heartbreaking. Parent's are using the vague language of a bill enabling parents to abandon their infants, to abandon their teens.

Having raised three teenagers, I have to admit in my weaker moments...

But seriously this is beyond horrible, how do you think it affects the kids in question?

I don't think I could have imagined that America could dispose of children so easily as we are. And in so many ways....

But you have to admit, for some of these kids the love was not there from their parents. If it were, they wouldn't be driving cross-country to abandon them.

What's worse, for them to stay at home in possibly abusive, possibly neglectful, or even just unloving homes? Or for them to get somewhere safe?

I know Nebraska made a mistake with their age limit. But how many abusive homes would not be abusive homes if there were a way for the parents to free their kids legally?
