It is this sort of accountablity that our society needs.
It isn't pleasant, but covering problems does not make them go away.
What does it say that Jon Stewart is here to save us? Since when has he taken up the mantle of consumer watchdog? I'm not saying Cramer is this okay dude. He's crazy, but he's an entertainer too. I love how Jon holds him personnally responsible for all the ups and downs of the market. It's like he blames Cramer for all the problems of the market. AND THIS is the DAILY SHow!!! Then, when Cramer defends himself, Stewart says "this ain't about you"?!! Huh?! Then why's he on?! I think it's crazy that Jon Stewart is trying to pass himself off as some in depth reporter, hard hitting and bring'in to the people. He filets this guy who's got basically nothing to do with the crash of the market other than betting wrong on it (and how!). But he's not responsible. This is what gives Jon street cred in a media reporting vacuum. Of course, it doesn't take much now does it?
How bad is it, that we now get our news from The Daily Show?
I love the part when he tells Jim, this isn't a game. To those guys... it was a game!
