A Hard Conversation Coming:.
My son Zachery loves Steve Erwin. Zach had his first slumber party last night. He's in third grade. He'll be home a bit later this morning and there is a hard conversation coming. As you've probably heard by now, Stever Erwin died last night. Steve is responsible for my son's facination with animals and especially snakes. Jaden, my kindergartener loves Steve's show too. Hard conversations to come.
This is one of those weird things. When someone you don't know dies, but you feel like you know them and furthermore, this person, whom you don't know, was inspirational to you and impacted your life. There are a few folks who have this power over us. It sounds strange that a tv personality would have that kind of impact on someone, but Steve was someone who my boys connected with.
Hard conversation to come later today.

Mark,
My son Jaden also was really sad. He loved "The Crocodile Hunter" also.
I was actually going to tell him about it the morning before school cause I knew he would here about it there. But I got a phone call right as were leaving to go to school and didn't get to.
That was the first thing he talked about when he got home from school. He was a little teary eyed.
I hope the conversation went as well as it could have.
